Sweet natured Maya is a timid girl who needs a patient owner willing to offer her plenty of encouragement. She's not had the best start in life and can feel anxious around strangers. With people she knows and trusts, she is both gentle and affectionate. She enjoys playing with her toys and being out on walks and exploring her surroundings but can become worried by sudden movements or loud noises. Maya is a food motivated girl, which is very useful in her training and also helps when introducing her to strangers.

Maya is looking for someone who has owned dogs before and has researched her breed type. She could live with another calm dog following a successful introduction and could also live with teenagers who are used to being around dogs. Maya arrived at Mayhew with poor skin condition, patchy fur loss and some irritation which has improved with medicated baths. She has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
