Handsome Dyson is an active and sensitive dog who is looking for a specific type of home. Unfortunately, he’s not had the correct socialisation and training which a young dog needs and as a result he’s reactive around strangers and moving objects like bicycles, pushchairs, scooters. He’s super intelligent, keen to learn and he’s responding well to the training he’s receiving at Mayhew, however he will need an experienced and dedicated owner willing to put a lot of time and effort into continuing his training.

Other Notes

Dyson is looking for an experienced owner, ideally someone who has owned a reactive dog before. He needs someone who is up for a challenge, will continue to work on his behaviour and will also work with a dog trainer. He's looking for a rural or semi-rural home, outside London, where he can be exercised without being flooded by strangers to give him the best opportunity to progress with his training. He needs to wear a muzzle and longline on walks, however it is hoped with the correct training he will eventually be able to be safely exercised off lead without a muzzle. He needs a calm, all adult home, without visiting children. He could possibly live with a sociable and well-behaved adult dog providing they can tolerate his excitable nature. Dyson is very affectionate with people he knows and has so much love to offer, with the right owner he will make a rewarding and fun loving companion. Dyson has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
