Bunny

Beautiful Bunny is a very friendly & affectionate girl who loves being stroked & pampered. She’ll make herself comfortable wherever she is and will often find the best lap in the room to sit on. She’ll happily curl up all day, especially on rainy days when the prefers to stay indoors. She also gets along very well with other dogs but is a fearless defender of the garden from foxes, cats and even birds. She loves her walks & likes to stroll at her own pace, she is curious about everything & likes to sniff around.

Other Notes

Bunny is looking for a calm retirement home with an owner who is able to devote a lot of their time and love to her. Despite her age she is healthy, fit and active. She has a condition called atopic dermatitis which is managed by giving her a tablet daily, regular medicated baths and she must stay on a specific diet to prevent any flare ups. She can live with sensible teenagers and she can also live with other dogs providing they are calm and will give her space to settle in. Bunny has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.

Foster Carer Comments

Bunny is beautiful and very clever. She’s very much her own dog, but happily fits in to any home. She’s highly intelligent and manages to get the things she needs by wiliness, charm, cleverness and tenacity. If she doesn’t want to do something she can’t be forced into it. However, she’s very food orientated so she may be bribed. On walks she happily interacts with other dogs, but isn’t particularly interested in them. Like lots of Jack Russells, Bunny can destroy a toy or ball very quickly - her favourite toy is a string tug toy. Bunny is very tolerant of the vet and her frequent baths. She loves being stroked and pampered. She has to have a daily pill and will eat it without complaint if it is squashed into a piece of cooked pumpkin, butternut squash or carrot. Bunny loves spending time with humans especially curled up on the sofa, a lap or bed. She knows some basic commands and is house/toilet trained.
