We are offering a variety of support for those who need it during Covid-19.
To protect our teams and the public, we have had to postpone many services but have adapted where we can to ensure we can continue to be a lifeline for our community.
We have launched a contactless delivery and collection service for people who are unable to access essential dog and cat supplies in the local area. We are also delivering flea and worming medication to local Vet Clinic clients, which you can read more about below.
If you need help with an animal or need advice, please email us.
Our Animal Welfare Officers are currently restricted in where they can assist in person and as such we have had to put many of our community projects on hold.
However they are still available to provide you with advice during this challenging time. Whether you need advice on your own pet, a feral colony, or a stray, they will be able to give you advice via email.
We are providing a limited delivery service of flea and worming treatments for existing clients living close to Mayhew. You must be registered at our Vet Clinic and your pet must have been seen by one of our vets at our vaccination clinic or for neutering within the last year. There is a minimum order quantity of three months supply.
To register your interest please email email@example.com with your full name, address and pet's name. If you are self-isolating, please inform our staff when you email. Our staff will be following strict social distancing measures and will not, under any circumstances, be able to examine your pet or offer any additional services.
Our TheraPaws programme has gone virtual with our volunteer teams running video sessions with people in care homes, hospitals, children and adolescent mental health units and schools. We are also collaborating with our local councils and community groups to reach out to isolated individuals and front line key workers to offer support and time out with one of our friendly volunteers and their TheraPaws dog. If you would like to find out more or apply for this service for yourself or a loved one, please contact our Corporate and Community Officer Duschanca Singh on Duschanca@mayhewanimalhome.org or 020 8962 8004.
We realise that pet owners may be having a difficult time at the moment. To support you, our teams have put together a few different guides and articles that cover illness, grooming and enrichment.See guides
