  • Summer

Summer was very welcoming and friendly when she arrived in foster care, she is confident and isnt frightened by much and even likes to recieve attention from visitors. Whilst she hasnt shown much interest in sitting on a lap, she is very affectionate and will always be in your company and by your feet. She has a loud purr that she uses well to get attention. She is playful, enjoys being groomed and when you've been away from home for a while, she'll follow you round when you return seeking attention. She will need a catflap so she can come and go as she pleases as she would often look out the for lengths of time, every day, so she will definitely enjoy going out for the fresh air.

    Other Notes

There was some cat flu symptoms seen within her litter but Summer has not shown any signs of flu herself but something to be aware of in case she has symptoms in the future. She has had an upset stomach treated with meds which has resolved.

    Foster Carer Comments

Summer came into my care as a mum of three kittens. She immediately approached me and was extremely loving, and purring loudly. She even brought the kittens after day two into the lounge so she and her family could be near me - I eventually gave in! She felt very comfortable in my care. She was extremely happy for me to pick up any kittens and check them over, yet observed very carefully! Once the kittens were a bit bigger, she went into kitten mode on regular occasions, loving a foil ball, laser ben, ping pong ball etc. All the kitten toys were used by Summer first and even stole them from her kittens!! She has a lot of love to give, and is still young and needs freedom to allow herself to be a kitten, esp after being such a young mum. She is incredibly friendly with ANY visitors, even when they picked up her kittens, and would be a lovely addition to any home. With some time being kitten-free, I believe she could be the perfect companion curled up against you on the sofa, and definitely has the potential to be lapcat. But, be aware, she LOVES wrapping between your legs, esp when you are walking, so just be careful when you walk around! It is the most adorable thing, and she will love you immediately. I will be sure to miss her.
