Star is just a wonderful girl, who would fit in well to most homes. She's extremely playful, confident and affectionate (make sure you read her foster comments below). Her favourite games are a feather wand toy, the laser pen and string. She'll also play on her own with soft toys. She's not worries about visitors either, after about a minute's nervousness she realised it was somebody else to get attention from and became friendly to them very quickly. She loves attention so much that she'll weave in and out between your legs to get it, so watch out! She would thrive best in a home where she isn't left for long periods and she'd love to get involved in your work from home zoom meetings!
Star arrived at Mayhew at the end of March and needed an emergency spey as she had a pyometra which is where the uterus becomes infected. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and has also been given preventative treatment in the form of microchipping, neutering, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team. She has also been treated for cystitis which resolved with antibiotics. Like every cat adopted from Mayhew she will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance and has had no medical concerns during her stay.
Star is a sweet girl, full of character and affection. She's bright and curious and makes friends quickly. Anyone lucky enough to adopt Star will have to endure their legs rubbed often. She's very full-on as a lap cat. She likes walking on me, kneading me, including my beard and face. Most attempts to go for a stroke will be pre-empted by her headbumps, and no lap is safe when this little purring machine is around. She is very playful and gets the zoomies daily, and absoutely loves to play with a feather wand or chase a laserpen. She is such a playful girl, so make sure you have the energy to keep up! But she has a tender and funny personality, which would be a wonderful addition to most households.
