Shuuto is a Home run cat! This seasoned veteran is strikingly beautiful with her Detroit Tiger coat and Chicago White Sox. She is more than just her looks and has a wonderful personality to match. She will touch base by sitting on your lap and will happily purr away the day while receiving Major League strokes. Shuuto is a confident and friendly cat that could live with children who will be respectful of her Championship ambitions and not throw her any curveballs. So if you are ready to enter the Big Leagues, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves…
Shuuto arrived at Mayhew at the end of April after she was brought in as a stray. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. Shuuto arrived at The Mayhew with a lump on her back. The lump was removed and diagnosed as a melanocytic tumour. Shuuto's tumour is thought to be low grade and was surgically removed with clear margins seen at the removal site. With this type of tumour, surgery is not always curative and there is a chance of the tumour returning. Any adopter should monitor for new skin lumps and seek veterinary advice if you had any concerns. For now she is bright and active and her surgery site is healing well. We also noted a few chips on the odd tooth but nothing that needed any intervention.
Shuuto is a sweet pretty little cat. She is quite self contained and enjoys just being near her people. She gives quiet little squeaks to encourage quicker meal service but is generally undemanding. In the last couple of days she has come up to the bedroom and climbed onto the bed for cuddles. She is a good eater. She is on a gastrointestinal diet. Despite the recent heatwave, I haven't seen her drink any water. She uses the litter box cleanly. She would make a lovely companion in an adult household.
