Lucy is a very special lady who deserves only the very best. This beautiful girl has lots of character and she will have you living under her fluffy paw in no time at all. But what a place to be as you’ll get to experience lots of cuddles and lap time. She loves to hang out and is young at heart as she enjoys her cat nip toys. She likes to nap on the bed with you and will need to be groomed regularly to keep her splendifourous coat looking so chic. She would be best suited to an adult home as she will let you know if not in the mood and will want a cat flap to enjoy her own garden too. So if you Lucy makes you feel all yummy in your tummy make sure you keep on reading to find out more about the rest of her re-homing requirements and a word on her medical history…
Lucy has been diagnosed with stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). This is staged 1-4 and while it is progressive it can be well managed. Lucy currently eats a special diet to help her CKD and should maintain this food going forward but otherwise she needs no other medication at this stage. Your vet will look to do regular check-ups (likely every 6 months) to monitor things and can advise on any other aspects of care moving forward. It will be important to make sure she is well hydrated and you watch for any signs of fluid loss (sickness or diarrhoea) so she can be treated accordingly and make sure it doesn't have an adverse affect on her overall condition.
Lucy is a lovely cat, she knows what she wants and will let you know if she is not in the mood. She is very confident and affectionate and likes her creature comforts. She loves to be close to her humans and likes to sleep with them. She bonds best with a few people so would be better in a quieter house. She is a chatty girl who likes to make her feelings known and likes to be the boss. She would suit someone who is looking for a cat best friend who will spend lots of time with her.
