Jessie loves people and wants nothing more than to hang out and be the centre of the universe. He loves his fuss and rubs your face or nibbles hair when people try to work at the computer. He also likes to show off his belly but watch out as he prefers you to look, not touch. This lovable scamp generally likes to sit on laps and is always happy to see a friendly face. He also loves to play with his toys too. Jessie could live with kids aged 13+ so long as they are confident and have experience around cats as he can play bite or bat you away when he has had enough. He would also need a cat flap fitted regardless of working hours too. So, If you have lots of love to give and fancy making a new bestie then keep on reading to find out more about his re-homing requirements as well as a word about his medical history…

How Rehoming WorksJessie has Flea Allergic Dermatitis. This is a reaction to flea bites causing him to have itchy skin. This was treated with various meds and you will need to continue regular parasite control to hep keep this under control as he seems to have a reaction caused by the flea bites themselves. He also suffered an unknown trauma before arrival at Mayhew (Likely an RTA). This caused a fractured lower jaw and damage to the roof of his mouth (Hard Palate). This was treated by another vet and Mayhew have removed a fixing wire that was irritating him. This has healed well and should cause no further issues. Lastly Jessie has some uneven pupils and a head tilt of unknown origin. He has no balance or mobility issues and these issues could have been caused by the previous trauma, but this is uncertain. We have seen no progression of these symptoms and so his quality of life should not be affected. Jessie is currently having no medications to treat any issues except keeping his parasite control up to date.
