Gina is a gentle soul who just needs some time to get to know you. She originally showed up as a stray cat and was friendly towards her finders where she appreciated some home comforts and a nice sofa to snooze on. She is making strides to venture out and have strokes in her Foster home, and she really enjoys snuggling up on the sofa next to her people. She will make herself cosy on the bed and is a sweetheart who will roll over to show she's enjoying the fuss! We think she'd prefer to live in a home with older children or adults and have a nice garden to explore when the time comes. She'll just need a loving home who'll let her settle down in her own time. If you think that you could be her purr-fect match, keep reading to see if you can provide her the fur-ever home she deserves...
Gina arrived at Mayhew at the Mayhew at the start of January after she was found as a stray cat and the finder was not in a position to care for her long term. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
Gina is an absolute sweetie, a very gentle puss who clearly really wants to engage with you, but is still developing her courage. Since she has been with us she has transformed from a very shy cat into an increasingly happy, engaged puss who clearly enjoys being part of your life. She will approach for strokes and head butts and whilst still wary of sudden movements will swiftly return to carry on playing. She particularly enjoys hunting feet through a duvet and snuggling on the sofa. She is an absolute delight to have in our home and she will be a wonderful companion in any family willing to give her the attention she so wants.
