Meet our golden oldie Ellie! Initially shy at first, she has now started to come out of her shell in her foster home. She loves company and will often want to sit with you and purr away. Once she gets to know you she's an absolute delight, and will chose to be around you and approach you for lots of fuss. She is now also a lap cat so she enjoys a good old cuddle! One of her favourite pastimes is having a good cat nap. Ellie is gentle in nature and really just needs people who will be patient whilst she settles in. She would love a quiet adult only home where she can be given the fuss and love she deserves. If you're able to offer this sweetheart the loving retirement home she deserves please keep on reading....
Ellie arrived at Mayhew at the end of June after her previous owner was sadly not able to keep her for the long term. She has now been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and has also been given preventative treatment in the form of neutering, vaccinations, Microchipping and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team. Like every cat adopted from Mayhew she will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance and has had some dental work while at Mayhew which included a clean and polish and removal of a tooth.
Ellie is a super sweet and gentle cat that’s very easy to look after. She always uses her litter tray and keeps herself very clean. Initially shy, Ellie has blossomed into a friendly companion who loves affection and enjoys sitting beside you, purring softly as you work. Also turns out that Ellie is a lap cat! She has settled in my lap several times the last few weeks. Quiet and considerate, Ellie won't disturb your sleep with night-time meowing. She has a playful side too, especially loving her string toy, and she uses her scratching post faithfully, never scratching furniture.
If you are interested in adopting Ellie, please read the information below including the 'Other notes' section, to check your circumstances match theirs. If they do, please take a look at our current rehoming process, and fill out an application form.
