Duchess is a gorgeous girl who is ready to find a happy home and be the centre of attention where she can also show off all her spots and stripes. She can be quite chatty at times and when she gets to know you will happily snooze on your lap and enjoy lots of fuss and cuddles. She loves to play at all hours and is partial to a game of fetch as well. Despite all her bravado she does have a sensitive side so she can sometimes be a bit shy at first but soon warms up and shows off her loving nature. She would probably be fine to live with children who'll let her find her spots to snooze and would enjoy some playtime once she gets to know them. So, if you fancy having a royal presence in the house, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give Duchess the fur-ever home she deserves...
Duchess arrived at Mayhew at the start of November after she was abandoned with her kittens in a carrier outside our reception. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
Duchess is shy at first, but once she gets to know you she is the most precious lady, she is affectionate, vocal, playful and a very good companion. She loves to play fetch and she very good at it. She also likes to explore and locate her own little hiding place. This little lady will make anyones day a little brighter. Duchess will accompany her human everywhere in her home so you will never feel alone. She is a good chatterbox and she will have her say even if it’s 2am in the morning (so don’t be alarmed when she starts!). She's a loving girl and will be such a wonderful cat to have around.
