Cali is sweet, affectionate girl who likes to say hello and give your nose a friendly wash. She likes a lap and is looking for a loving home where she can be the centre of attention. She is young at heart and has a playful streak to her too, but what she wants above all else is the chance to get to know you and be loved for the rest of her life to come. She will need a home with people who have experience with cats and understand cat behaviour and health as she is a worrier at times and will need some reassurance. She is a very gentle, sweet natured cat and whoever meets Cali aka California will find a little ray of sunshine just entered their world and who doesn’t love the sun!?
Cali is ok to be left for a full working day provided a cat flap is fitted. She is sweet, gentle girl who would love some company so if you are about that would be even better. Based on her past history and current temperament Cali can live with sensible teenagers. This will also be dependent on if she likes who she meets, isn’t scared or fearful and that those she meets are also calm and respectful towards her. Every adoption is unique and we want to make sure all our cats are happy and cared for so we recommend pet insurance and you must register with a local vet. Vet costs vary so please look into the expense involved in caring for a cat. Cali has been neutered, microchipped, 1st vaccine (at least) given and is up to date with her flea & worm treatments. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed which all help to guide our re-homing criteria. Cali has been treated for some scabs on her skin most likely a reaction to flea bites so you will need to keep up to date with her parasite control in the home. She also has a history of cystitis. This has not re-occurred for 3 years but is likely a stress factor so we are hoping to find a nice, chilled out experienced home for Cali.
