Bonsai is a gorgeous girl with some truly unique markings. Whilst she may have that permanent look of distain on her cross, scornful face, she is very friendly and loves settling on your lap for some fuss and some big head bumps. She’s had a bit of a rough time of it lately and is looking to find a home of her own with lots of love and affection as she has fast become a fan favourite amongst all of the cattery team. She could live with children aged around 13+ (teenagers) so long as they are cat savvy as she will let you know if she has had enough. So, if you can happily nurture this special cat-tree, keep reading to be sure you can give her the fur-ever home she deserves…
When Bonsai arrived at Mayhew she was a little underweight and dehydrated, she was given treatment and now is back to a healthy weight and fully recovered. She also developed Ringworm which was treated and is now all cleared up too. Lastly Mayhew vets removed an oral mass which was examined and diagnosed as chronic ulcerative suppurative stomatitis. The mass was non cancerous and can be associated with a repeated trauma, a foreign body, dental conditions or chronic irritation. She has not developed further masses and removal appears to have been curative. Like all our cats Bonsai has also been behaviourally assessed and given preventative treatment in the form of microchipping, neutering, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment.
