    Baron Maddy

Baron Maddy Von Cat Hausen to give him his full name was found as a stray cat and was thought to be a lady on arrival . He turned out to be an unwanted boy who needed a bit of a pick me up. He is now doing so much better and when he is on top form he is all up in your face dishing out lots of head rubs and getting fur everywhere. He likes his grub and is all about doing his thing. He will need a loving, caring home where he can get to know you and really find his feet and then you'll see all his best qualities like when he plays and you can see how much of a big kitten he is. He is a sweet, affcetionate boy who will let you know if he is not in the mood but when he has enlisted you as his man servant there's nothing you won't do for 'The Baron.'

    Other Notes

Baron Maddy is ok to be left for a full working day provided a cat flap is fitted. He is a lovely boy who likes his fuss and once he knows you would make the best companion. Based on his past history and current temperament he can live with sensible older teenagers but an all adult home may be a better fit. This is really dependent on if he likes who he meets, isn’t scared or fearful and that those he meets are also calm and respectful towards him. Every adoption is unique and we want to make sure all our cats are happy and cared for so we recommend pet insurance and you must register with a local vet. Vet costs vary so please look into the expense involved in caring for a cat. Maddy has been neutered, microchipped, 1st vaccine (at least) given and is up to date with his flea & worm treatments. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed which all help to guide our re-homing criteria. Maddy has an unknown skin irritation. He has been a bit itchy around his head, neck and eyes. He is likely going to be a cat who will always have this but he could just as well improve much better in a stress free home environment. Mayhew vets are happy he is not in any pain and is currently receiving no direct treatment. He has had a long lasting steroid injection as a pick me up and Mayhew will happily see him back at our vet clinic three months post adoption to help treat any problems at reduced Mayhew prices. We sadly haven’t been able to find a cause for his problems and a private vet with more facilities would be advisable to be able to investigate further. The cost of any potential on-going treatment is something to consider too. Despite his ailments he is a lovely boys who just wants a loving home.
