    Aslan (Indoor)

Aslan has been living the life of riley and was out and about strutting his stuff on the streets of London and there is a lot of cat to strut about town too. Aslan is a huge BFCG (That’s a Big Friendly Cat Giant) who is as smoochy as they come. He is a Main Coon cross so it would be good if people were familiar with the breed as he will need grooming regularly as well as lots of space to roam about in. He will need a large indoor home (Aslan is FIV+) or ideally a home with an enclosed garden. Above all Aslan is a friendly soul who loves his grub and needs some extra love and TLC. He loves a lap and gives tremendous head butts as well. He has been in the wars a bit of late so it would be nice for him to find a special home where he can be king and show you how playful he is! Aslan is FIV+ and as such needs an indoor home or one with an enclosed garden. Any reservation will be subject to a successful home visit.

    Other Notes

Aslan is ok to be left for up to 6 hours at a time. He likes company and now that he won’t be able to roam as far his needs have changed so he will need some extra love and TLC. Based on his past history and current temperament he could live with sensible teenagers. This is also dependent on if he likes who he meets, isn’t scared or fearful and that those he meets are also calm and respectful towards him. Every adoption is unique and we want to make sure all our cats are happy and cared for so we recommend pet insurance and you must register with a local vet. Vet costs vary so please look into the expense involved in caring for a cat. Aslan has been neutered, microchipped, 1st vaccine (at least) given and is up to date with his flea & worm treatments. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed which all help to guide our re-homing criteria. He has had treatment for dirty ears as well as stud tail which made the base of his tail oily. This is all fine but will need monitoring like his ears. He has also had entropion surgery which has corrected a problem with his eyelids where they invert inwards. The vets are happy with how it went and he is much happier. Aslan is FIV+ which means he has a weaker immune system. He will also need a large indoor home or one with an enclosed garden where he will have lots to keep him occupied. He will also need a little extra helping hand when it comes to his health. The best way to keep a FIV+ cat healthy is to always consult your vet if they seem under the weather and make sure you keep up to date with all their vaccinations, flea and worming treatments. FIV+ cats can live a normal life for just as long as a regular cat can it’s all about giving them a loving home which is stress free and making sure you pay careful attention to any signs that they may be getting poorly. FIV is something that is only transferred between cats and not to humans and while there is no cure, being indoors or having an enclosed garden means they can live a happy life in a safe environment and not risk infecting any neighbourhood cats too. What he needs now is a loving home where he can get lots of fuss and affection.
