Toby

Terrific Toby is a friendly, affectionate and playful boy with a lot of love to give! He loves going on walks, exploring the outdoors and meeting new doggy pals. Typical of his breed, he also enjoys a good chase so his new owners will need to be able to read his body language and help guide him out of certain situations when needed! He is a real love bug and thinks he is a lap dog at times so is looking for a home where he will be able to snuggle up with his family on the sofa after a day of adventures! Toby is an active dog who likely has not spent much time in a home so will need a patient and understanding owner that is willing to continue with his training and socialisation, keep him mentally stimulated and allow him to settle in at his own pace. He is a really lovely boy and will make a fun and loving companion in the right home.

Other Notes

Toby can live in a ground floor flat as long as there is direct access to a private garden. He will need someone around most of the time to begin with, building up the time he is left slowly with the view to leaving him for a few hours at most. He could live with another dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. He could also live with sensible teenagers of 12+ providing they are experienced around dogs and will give him space when needed. Toby has had dental treatment in the past, consisting of a scale and polish and removal of two teeth. Toby has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. He has also been medically and behaviourally assessed.
