Luna is stunning and we think she knows it too! Being a Bengal, she is chatty and demanding, but this all just adds to her charm! Shes a proper lap cat and loves to have a snuggle, though she very much wants this when she wants it and on her terms only, in pure cat fashion! Shes a gentle girl without a bad bone in her body and has short sputs of playfulness. Shes a very confident girl in general, though can get startled sudden by loud noises, so she would probably thrive best in a home with children of at least 8 years old
Luna arrived at Mayhew in Mid September after her owner just left her in our reception. She has since been behaviourally assessed and given preventative treatment at Mayhew in the form of microchipping, vaccinations (at least first), flea and worming treatment and was previously neutered before coming into our care. She also comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance. During her stay with us Luna has had some issues with constipation. This initially was treated with enemas and ongoing supportive medication to keep her bowels running smoothly. We have since been able to get her onto a medication routine with tablets or supplements in her food that mean her bowel movements are currently regular. This will need monitoring and the hope is that she can hopefully start to come off some of these meds in the future with consultation with your private vet but it should be understood that she may need ongoing meds as well. She is bright and happy, and a bundle of fun who just needs someone who will give her a happy home no matter what.
Luna is an incredibly relaxed and confident cat who will approach you with a meow and a paw tap when she wants something. Luna likes to sleep in bed throughout the night or if left on the sofa, she will happily sleep there the whole night. She doesn’t knock anything down or try to steal food and is very tolerant with handling for pill popping. She mainly sleeps curled up on the sofa next to you but will walk around and show interest in her surroundings and have little bursts of playful energy. She loves being approached for a stroke and will also come to sit on you for a cuddle when she fancies it.
